Ancient Gears is a rare ore that can be found in any of the Geode Caves in Tier 5 and can be found in larger quantities in Ore Geode Lairs. They also commonly drop from Greater Crystal Caches and Builder's Vaults, and rarely drop from Builder's Boxes and Chests.
This item can be used to craft High-Tier items such as Costumes, Mounts, Space Expanders, and the Ancient Gear Archive Tome in the Crystallogy Workbench or craft Advanced Decorations in the Geodian Workbench. They can also be used to upgrade Modules (mainly for levels 8-10) in the Module Forge.
