Runecrafting is a profession that can be advanced at a Runecrafting Bench. As evidenced by its name, Runecrafting is focused on crafting Recipes and Styles to boost up the player's Mastery. There are several different types of Block recipes and Vault Styles that the player and unlock and use to stylize their club/classes. Block recipes can also be found rarely in ore chunks or uncommonly dropped from Miner's Trove, however Runecrafting is one of the ways to unlock styles under the Style Vault categories (other than using Omni Style Surprises to unlock the styles).
Like all professions, you gain points by crafting items that are in the newest unlocked tier. Each player has their own Runecrafting Level. Rings are separated into 6 different categories or tiers of Runecrafting, blocked by your character's Runecrafting level. The tiers for Runecrafting are as follows: Newbie, Dabbler, Enthusiast, Inscriber, Runecarver, and Runic Master. Players can gain one point per item crafted, of which 50 points are required to advance to the next tier. The tiers go by 50's, starting from level 0 to level 50, 100, etc. until level 250, which is the maximum Runecrafting level. You gain one level for every item you craft in your most recently unlocked tier.
Recipes gained through Runecrafting will teach players new decorative block types, such as glass and steel. Players will also be able to craft vault boxes, to unlock old, vaulted styles from Runecrafting Bench. These can also be deconstructed to continually level your Runecrafting skill.
Players will need to deconstruct existing recipes into blank ones to use with this profession. Players will also need to gather Radiant Shards from Dark Heart Lairs in the Radiant Ruins to advance in the Runecrafting profession, much like Sunlight Bulbs are used for the Gardening profession. The final component to Runecrafting is Crystallized Clouds, gathered by mining in the Radiant Ruins.
The final rank of Runecrafting will let you craft Tomes, an important new addition of equippable items. Tomes fill up by gathering exp and grant items like flux, infinium or robotic salvage, depending on type, when full. There's also a special creatable carpet mount at the final tier of Runecrafting, the Floating Formula.
